Wounded Badger Patrol

Since 2013 Gloucestershire Against Badger Shooting (GABS) has operated Wounded Badger Patrols (WBP).

Wounded Badger Patrols operate every evening during the cull and are a peaceful, non-violent, and lawful activity, open to anyone over the age of 16, with no upper age limit.  We cover three aspects of patrolling.

However mobile you are or whether you have a disability you can become fully involved and contribute in a vital way.  Please explore the menus for more information about patrolling and come along because there really is a place for everyone who wants to protect badgers from the cull.

Gloucestershire Against Badger Shooting (GABS) is a group of volunteers who came together in the summer of 2012 to try and prevent the planned badger cull in our county. Like farmers, we want to see the end of the spread of Bovine TB in cattle; the evidence shows that culling badgers is not the answer.

We regularly work with local people and national charities and we only campaign peacefully and within the law and do not believe in intimidation; we have supporters of all ages and occupations, including farmers.

Please email info@glosagainstbadgershooting.org or contact us on the GABS ‘phone number (see "contact us") if you’d like to join a patrol.  Please be aware that we only operate this ‘phone during the cull season but you can always get hold of us on email.

By joining a patrol, you'll meet a team of wonderful, caring and compassionate people who are prepared to keep walking, driving and watching to protect our badgers!

To ensure everyone acts responsibly and within the law, all patrollers sign up to the WBP protocol.
